“Internet Center” opened in Roma settlement

Niš – On Friday, 5 October, representatives of HVO-RTV Nišava held a press conference for announcing beginning of the project “Internet Center in Roma Settlement”. The press conference was held in the premises of Association of unions and non-governmental organizations, 22 Blačka Street in Niš.
Project “Internet Center in Roma Settlement” will be realized during next six months, when children and young people, ages 10 to 19, will have the opportunity to attend computer courses, as well as lectures and discussions about computer technologies. The project is intended particularly for Roma children and young people, but also for their parents, with the aim of education in computer literacy, motivating Roma children for education and raising awareness about the importance of education.
After initial stage in project realization, the Internet Center will continue its work and providing services. The project is being realized due to donations of DIN “Tobacco Factory” Niš, which is within the company Phillip Morris International.
